Raveena Tandon is a Bollywood super actress and model who has made a successful acting career in India. She performed in many successful films. Since then, she has continued to act in major roles and won several awards, including the Filmfare Best Actress Award. She was born on the 26th of Oct 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her next movie, Mohra (1994) & Dilwale (1994), were big hits at the box office, and Laadla (1994) as well; although an average performer actress, she still earned her a Filmfare nomination as best supporting actress. Personal life:
Raveena Tandon adopted two children, Pooja & Chhaya, as single mothers in the 1990s. Tandon previously dated actor Akshay Kumar and was set to be engaged to him; however, they broke up very soon after.
Tandon began dating movie distributor Anil Thadani while making her film “Stumped” in 2003. Their engagement was announced in Nov-2003. She married Thadani on Feb-22-2004, in Jag Mandir Palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan, according to Punjabi style & criteria. She gave birth to a baby girl called Rasha on Mar-16, 2005. She gave birth to her 2nd child, a baby boy named Ranbir, on July 12, 2007.
Controversies:
Raveena Tandon was the chairperson of the Children’s Film Society of India from 2003. Still, from 2004 the actress began to get complaints that she didn’t attend the organization’s meetings as per schedules & that she was not involved with the activities set up by the society members. In Sep-2005, Tandon resigned from her post due to personal reasons.
In Nov-2005, Tandon sued Shaadi.com and Shaaditimes.com, claiming they were using her unauthorized pictures to promote their website. Tandon also sued the CEO of Satyanet Solutions, as they claimed that Raveena and her husband had met through the website.
Commitments:
In Nov-2002, Tandon signed on to support the People who work for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. She has posed in many commercial campaigns joining the likes of Shilpa Shetty, Amisha Patel & John Abraham.
